Welcome to Tintwistle Cricket Club. Tintwistle
Cricket Club was formed in 1835 and is located on Speedwell in the village
of Tintwistle. Tintwistle (or 'Tinsel' as pronounced by villagers) is located in
the High Peak district at the western end of the Longendale Valley. A section of
our village sits within the Peak District national park boundary and is
designated a conservation area. For a little history on Tintwistle CC, click

At Tintwistle CC we are very proud of our heritage and history. If you're

'The Vault'
- Tintwistle CC's Statistical Archive. The Vault contains records for over
1060 players who have played for our club dating back to our formation in 1835.
We run two senior teams, both who play on Saturdays, and four junior teams
(under 17's, under 15's, under 13's & under 11's). All teams play in the
Derbyshire &
Cheshire Cricket League.
Our senior teams play in their respective top divisions of the DCCL. We have
fantastic practice facilities and warmly welcome new members whatever your
standard. Interested parties should note that senior practice is held on the
ground on Tuesday evenings during the summer. Indoor winter nets begin in
February\March in the run up to the start of the season and are usually held at
one of the local schools. If you're interested in coming along please
contact us
and get in touch with the club captains.
We also have a strong junior section managed by qualified coaches and hold
dedicated weekly coaching evenings during the summer. Parents should note that
it is our aim to introduce cricket to a wide range of young people and that
children of all ages are welcome to attend our coaching sessions.
We have a well stocked bar so even if you're a non playing member, you can
call by and take in some cricket, while relaxing with a cool drink under the
infamous sun trap - 'The White Wall'!
