Tintwistle Cricket Club - The Hole in the Hands Cup

The Hole in the Hands Cup is the brainchild of club stalwart Simon Barrow. The Cup is awarded to the 1st XI player who drops the most catches during a season. Tradition states this is always the last Cup presented during the awards section at the Annual Club Dinner. The Cup was first presented in 2000 to Damian Weatherhead, whose record of 9 dropped catches in a season looks quite safe! Since then there have been some big name players who have won it, Martin Harris, Jimmy Blackwell, Andy Dwyer and Matthew Robinson to name a few.
